History of the Teen Center

The Boys and Girls Club Teen Center opened in September of 2000. When it first opened, we had no popcorn machine, computers, foosball table, video games, dart board, television, homework program, or access to the room next door, which is currently used as a homework room.  In the past three years, we have come a long way expanding activities and making new games available.  Some classes, clubs, and programs that have been offered in the past and that are still offered are Keystone Club, Stay Smart, Choose Wisely Now, Club Tech, Job Ready, Broaden Horizons, Drivers Ed class, Newspaper Club, art class, and Nike Swoosh.  The club has also become more involved with local organizations, allowing us to interact and get involved with our community.  Over time, the Teen Center has grown into a successful organization that provides a  positive place for teens.
